South Dakota Antelope,
By: jmeyen
Date: Sep 11, 2008
I haven't been archery antelope hunting since 1997. I just got back from a 5 day, unguided archery antelope hunt in Northwestern South Dakota with a couple of friends. The bucks weren't really rutting yet and there was too much water for waterhole hunting to be productive. We tried decoying, we tried stalking, we tried hunting from a blind. It turned out that stalking worked...

I was dove hunting with my father and brother in Cresson, Texas one September day about 15 years ago. The hunt was going pretty well and it was the first time our black labrador fetched a downed bird from a tank. As we were sitting on a tree line a small coyote approched my father. He saw her coming from across a grassy field and put some bird shot over her, but that did...

I waited all year for this day, and I was stoked! I woke up an extra hour early, to make sure that I had everything that I needed. All my gear was neatly arranged in the corner by the door, and the truck was...

A Great Hunt,
By: skunk_thecrittergitter
Date: Mar 1, 2008
I was out coyote hunting this year. It was a nice, brisk morning and I headed out to a spot on one of my friends land. Placing two of my buddies on the edge of a food plot and myself in a hedgerow on a ridge overlooking a small valley, I started to work the predator mouth call I had brought with me. In literally about 15 minutes, a male and female coyote jumped out of the...
